Crosby/Lidstrom controversy
The big controversy after Game 7 of the Stanley Cup final is that Sidney Crosby did not shake the hand of some Detroit Red Wings including fellow captain Nicklas Lidstrom after the game.
It is a tradition in hockey that both teams shake hands after a playoff series, but when the Penguins lined up, Crosby was still doing interviews and celebrating. Nicklas Lidstrom, Kris Draper and others waited but left the ice before Crosby joined his teammates in shaking hands.
Draper told an Associated Press reporter about the incident and appeared livid when describing what happened.
It was both Crosby's and Lidstrom's fault. Fine that Crosby took too much time to get into line, but Lidstrom, especially as Detroit's captain, should have waited until Crosby joined up. While Lidstrom did not complain, I thought that Draper should have been more concerned about losing Game 7, than a perceived slight from Crosby.
Just my point of view.

Finally, somebody who isn't complaining about it and realizeing it isn't only Crosby's fault. So much is being made of nothing. He is a young guy, he just won the biggest award in the NHL....obviously he is going to celebrate and may get caught up in the whirlwind. Good point, Michael.
