Week 16 last minute injury glance

The biggest story in the fantasy football world this week has nothing to do with injuries. It’s all about the Colts and their pursuit (or lack thereof?) of perfection.
Now that we’re just a day away from kickoff, we still don’t know much more about what Jim Caldwell and Bill Polian have decided. Our best guess? Most of the Colts will play about a half. Read Gregg’s take on the situation and see where Peyton Manning, Reggie Wayne etc. fit in his rankings here.
Anyway, we still need to be on top of the injuries. Here’s all the latest news on that front for Week 16:
*** Designates a true game-time decision.
Check the player news page about an hour before each game’s kickoff to find out the final inactives.
Also, use Evan’s matchup column for help with lineup decisions.
BILLS at FALCONS
*** Michael Turner (ankle) is listed as questionable, but it’s really hard to see him playing. Look for Jason Snelling and Jerious Norwood to split the work in this excellent matchup.
*** Ryan Fitzpatrick (ankle) is being called a game-time decision, but Brian Brohm is fully expected to start and attempt his first career pass. Trent Edwards (ankle) is out.
- Matt Ryan (toe) is fully expected to start.
CHIEFS at BENGALS
N/A
RAIDERS at BROWNS
- Darrius Heyward-Bey (foot) is out.
- Justin Fargas (knee) is very unlikely to play, making Michael Bush a play with upside.
- Zach Miller (concussion) will likely play but isn’t a fantasy option.
SEAHAWKS at PACKERS
- Nate Burleson (ankle) is not expected to play. Deion Branch gets another shot.
*** Julius Jones (ribs) is tentatively expected to play and share carries with Justin Forsett.
TEXANS at DOLPHINS
N/A
PANTHERS at GIANTS
- Matt Moore (shoulder) is fully expected to start despite a questionable tag.
*** DeAngelo Williams (ankle) is listed as doubtful and almost certainly won’t play. It’s worth noting that he did make the trip to New York. With Tyrell Sutton (calf) also out, Jonathan Stewart is in line for a lot of work as long as D-Will sits.
- Hakeem Nicks (hamstring) is fully expected to start even though he left last week’s win early.
JAGUARS at PATRIOTS
*** Fred Taylor (ankle) could make his return against his former team.
- Tom Brady (shoulder, finger, rib) will start.
BUCS at SAINTS
*** Antonio Bryant (groin) will likely play, but was limited for most of the week. He’s a risky option.
*** Derrick Ward (knee) was a late addition to the injury report after being promised more work over the last two games of the season.
- Kellen Winslow (knee) is good to go.
- Lance Moore (ankle) is out.
*** Jeremy Shockey (toe) is a game-time decision.
- Reggie Bush (hamstring) is a go.
BRONCOS at EAGLES
- Eddie Royal (neck) is out.
- Correll Buckhalter (ankle) is ready to go against his former team and will resume his role behind Knowshon Moreno.
- Jeremy Maclin (foot) is fully expected to start, but the Eagles will be very careful with their rookie.
- Brian Westbrook (concussion) will be eased back into action with a few touches.
- Michael Vick (quad) is unlikely to suit up.
RAVENS at STEELERS
*** Mark Clayton (hamstring, knee) is expected to be available. None of the Ravens’ secondary receivers are an option.
- Rashard Mendenhall, Mike Wallace and Hines Ward are all listed as probable and will play.
RAMS at CARDINALS
*** Steven Jackson (back) is a game-time decision, but hasn’t missed a game due to this injury. We’d be really surprised if he doesn’t start.
- Larry Fitzgerald (knee) is listed as probable and doesn’t appear to be a “rest” candidate.
LIONS at 49ERS
- Calvin Johnson (knee) practiced in full all week.
JETS at COLTS
- Braylon Edwards (knee) put in a full practice Thursday and Friday and is a solid option.
- Pierre Garcon (hand) is out.
- Adam Vinatieri (knee) is some sort of game-time decision right now. We’d stay away from him and Matt Stover.
- Joseph Addai, Peyton Manning and Reggie Wayne are all listed as probable, making them candidates for rest. Dallas Clark isn’t on the report but should also be used at your own risk.
COWBOYS at REDSKINS
- Martellus Bennett (concussion) has been cleared to return.
- Devin Thomas (ankle) is not expected to play.
VIKINGS at BEARS
*** Devin Hester (calf) doesn't look like he'll play and you shouldn’t wait on him.
