Week 14 Eyebrow Raisers

Is it just me, or does every running back in a Redskins uniform look better than Clinton Portis did? Ladell Betts, Rock Cartwright, Quinton Ganther – they all are embarrassing Portis.
To make matters worse, Jason Campbell has been on fire since Portis went down in Week 9. Coincidence? Maybe. But the second half of the Redskins’ season is sure to raise some eyebrows.
Speaking of which, here are this week’s eyebrow raisers. As a reminder, we’re not talking about guys like Jamaal Charles (we know he is an animal) or Matt Forte (we know he stanks).
GOOD
Brandon Marshall – 21 catches. Good lord.
Laurence Maroney – 22 carries, 94 yards: We didn’t know how Sammy Morris would be worked back in, but it looks like Maroney is safe for now. Morris had six carries.
Willis McGahee – Pikced up 76 yards, two touchdowns but it was all garbage time.
Greg Camarillo – It was just his turn to blow up in the Dolphins’ receiving rotation. Don’t read too much into his big game.
Ryan Grant – He always seems to get better as the season wears on.
Johnny Knox and Devin Aromashodu – It’s possible that both project better long term than Devin Hester.
Quinton Ganther – 93 total yards, 2 TDs: I thought it would be more of a committee with Marcus Mason and Rock Cartwright, but Ganther was the man.
Hakeem Nicks – Started over Mario Manningham for first time. Had up-and-down night, but is the better fantasy play than Mario going forward.
BAD
Roddy White – Chris Redman was much more comfortable and didn’t force the ball to White.
Correll Buckhalter – Left in the first quarter with an ankle injury.
Reggie Wayne – Was shadowed by Champ Bailey. Pierre Garcon seems to be taking over as the deep threat, but everyone should go nuts against the Jags on Thursday.
Randy Moss – We know he takes play off, but for the Panthers to call him out after they lost is dumb. It didn’t help that Tom Brady was clearly banged up.
Calvin Johnson – Daunte Culpepper hurt him more than we thought it would. He needs Matt Stafford back in there.
Carson Palmer – 94 passing yards when you’re losing the whole game? He sorely needs a second receiver or tight end to take attention away from Ochocinco.
Jeremy Maclin – Left on a cart with a tear in his plantar fascia. Seems unlikely to return before Week 17.
