Week 11 Target Report highlights
As much as we loved Brandon Gibson heading into Week 11, no one could have expected him to lead the league in targets. He really saw 17 passes come his way? Wow, great news. He only caught five of them? Sigh.
But that’s not the worst news. Now that Marc Bulger is out 3-6 weeks, Gibson’s value is in the toilet. How quickly things can change.
Anyway, on to the Thanksgiving edition of the highlights. Happy holiday to everyone. Here are four pass-catching situations that caught our eye in Week 11.

Boss’ ankle is back to 100 percent and he hasn’t taken a blow to the head lately. It’s showing on the field. Manningham continues to impress and there might be enough room for him and Nicks in certain matchups. With Ahmad Bradshaw out, look for Danny Ware to get a handful of targets going forward.
COLTS
Reggie Wayne 10

Santi jumps out here as a fluke that was playing because Gijon Robinson was sidelined. He may never see eight targets again in his life. The Ravens did everything possible to take Clark out of the game and it worked. Peyton and the Colts will find a way around these double teams. Garcon is mighty impressive -- Anthony who?

Casey showed excellent skills, as expected. If he can get some more targets he’ll be worth a look. Walter has been disappointing since Owen Daniels went down and there aren’t any signs he’ll explode. Slaton will be the feature back before much longer, Chris Brown stanks.

Can’t really explain Owens’ game. He did burn Rashean Mathis’ backup on his 97-yard touchdown, but it’s still weird. I’m not ready to say he’s back yet. Nelson has some skills and is another tight end to keep an eye on.

For desperate owners, why Darby over Gado? I know back in September you guys published a report from a rams beat writer saying he passed Samkon on the depth chart, but in the last three games Darby has one incomplete target, vs. 3 Samkon carries. Not much of a sample, but Gado is more of a "traditional" lead back style, and for what it's worth the Belleville News-Democrat seem to think it's Gado http://www.bnd.com/rams/story/1026769.html (rams beat writers keep listing both guys).
Which way should we go with this?
