Rounding up stories from the weekend, Skinny Posts has a decidedly purple and gold tinge this morning.
After dissecting the upcoming calendar, Profootballtalk.com predicts July 3 as the date the Vikes will announce Brett Favre's signing.
Scout.com points out that Adrian Peterson's name isn't being called often enough deep inside the red zone. A total of 25 backs had more carries inside the 5-yard line than ADP did last season. He's going to need to be rewarded by the goal-line more often if he's going to capture his first fantasy MVP award.
Although my efforts to rev up the Percy Harvin hype train haven't yet reached the magnitude of last year's effort with Chris Johnson or the previous year's Adrian Peterson love, that may be about to change. Whatifsports.com recently ran a computer simulation of the upcoming season, and the computer revealed a serious mancrush on Harvin. He's projected to rack up 904 total yards and eight touchdowns on 130 touches as a rookie.

I'm not exactly sure what guys like Williams and Chad Johnson are thinking when they say they don't lift or haven't run a single route during the offseason. That everyone will give them a mulligan for bad seasons and give them big money based on raw potential?
Lots of people have a lot of potential and don't do much with it, both in football and elsewhere.

Brett Farve will help the Vikings win games, but he will not help your fantasy team win games.
The fantasy hype train for Percy Harvin is legit. His versatility will help AP immensely.
Greg Olsen is a sleeper TE to keep your eye on.
Play dynasty fantasy football. it's much more hardcore than redraft leagues.

how is it that people think AP and Harvin will have big years but the QB won't? Is AP going to throw it to Harvin?
listen folks, i'm not a Favre fan and I'll be the first to bash him. and i'm not suggesting he's a top 5 QB in fantasy or anything. but let's be clear on something -- Favre loves stats, and after AP carries the team inside the 10, Favre will find a way to get a passing TD. he's not going to be a game-manager QB. his ego will not permit Minnesota to succeed unless he's part of the story. shiancoe owners unite! veggieb - Steve Smith and Deangelo Williams had big years, but Delhomme sure didn't. It's pretty easy for a WR and/or RB to succeed in fantasy football while the QB stinks.
Part of Harvin's projected numbers are from rushes and special teams returns too...
