Points-Per-Reception Industry Draft

I just wrapped up a fantasy football draft for Krause Publications on CBS Sportsline. The league, which will be played out, awards one point per reception and six points per passing touchdown. It was a 16-round draft with 12 participants. I drafted eighth overall. Here's how my team turned out:
QB Jay Cutler (8.5)
RB Steven Jackson (1.8)
RB Marion Barber (2.5)
WR Dwayne Bowe (3.8)
WR Eddie Royal (4.5)
WR Lee Evans (6.5)
TE Jeremy Shockey (10.5)
FLX Joseph Addai (5.8)
K Ryan Longwell (15.8)
DEF Giants (13.8)
BN Ray Rice (7.8)
BN Carson Palmer (9.8)
BN Kevin Curtis (11.8)
BN Josh Morgan (12.5)
BN Mike Walker (14.5)
BN Tashard Choice (16.5)
Here are some notables that weren't drafted:
1. Broncos TE Tony Scheffler
2. 49ers QB Shaun Hill
3. Steelers TE Heath Miller
4. Ravens DEF
5. Dolphins QB Chad Pennington
6. Seahawks WR Deion Branch
7. Rams QB Marc Bulger
8. Titans TE Bo Scaife
9. Raiders QB JaMarcus Russell
10. Packers RB Brandon Jackson

I have to agree with the Cap, it seems like your leaguemates were sleeping or something. I tried to figure out which round you took who with, and I see too many I would take in the early rounds for it to make sense. Great for you though - excellent value on some of your selections.

a good not great team. love the wr picks of Bowe and Royal in a PPR format. Heck those are two guys who could be in the top 5 for targets this year. Hate the Evans pick, simply do not understand it in a ppr format - (well depending on who was left!)Very safe bet on your squad that M Walker or J Morgan (or more likely both) will pass him quickly on your depth chart. would be wonderful if Addai gets off to a hot start and you could shop him for a WR. Cutler is very undervalued. people so down on the Bears WR corps are discounting him - but he is simply a talent and will produce. S Jax is a solid #1 RB - (just hope you didn't pass on Matty F for him!) TE has the potential as an issue - i might think of dumping H Miller for B Miller as Shockey insurance. in a PPR format Miller proved quite valuable the games Shockey missed and fully has Brees trust.

OOOPS. just notcied H Miller was not on your list but rather on the undrafted list ;-)

I agree you got good value. To me Shockey is a risk - some say you can't win without taking them. Generally, I only take risks after I've established my starters. I'd think of picking up Heath M.
Regarding Palmer, it appears you got him at good value, and I imagine you plan on starting match-ups at QB. That sounds good, except your league has such a short bench for the number of starters, I would have gone with another RB or WR. If Ray Rice comes through you'll probably be golden anyway. The last thing I question is who else was available when you took Curtis? I'm not big on him this year.

i like the team a lot evan. it seems like your wr corps might be a little thin on depth but i have to think that one of your three bench players should produce pretty well this year.
it looks to me like marion barber was your second round pick. was reggie bush around at this point? i think his value in a ppr league is very low this year as he has WR2 upside with all the balls he catches! if you even add just 5 carries a game to that upside he seems like a solid round 2 back in my opinion.
where do you guys have bush valued in ppr?

The team looks ok. But I agree with the others, we need to no what rounds your players were drafted. It would be better yet if we could see the intire draft listed.
