Points-Per-Reception Industry Draft

I just wrapped up a fantasy football draft for Krause Publications on CBS Sportsline. The league, which will be played out, awards one point per reception and six points per passing touchdown. It was a 16-round draft with 12 participants. I drafted eighth overall. Here's how my team turned out:
QB Jay Cutler (8.5)
RB Steven Jackson (1.8)
RB Marion Barber (2.5)
WR Dwayne Bowe (3.8)
WR Eddie Royal (4.5)
WR Lee Evans (6.5)
TE Jeremy Shockey (10.5)
FLX Joseph Addai (5.8)
K Ryan Longwell (15.8)
DEF Giants (13.8)
BN Ray Rice (7.8)
BN Carson Palmer (9.8)
BN Kevin Curtis (11.8)
BN Josh Morgan (12.5)
BN Mike Walker (14.5)
BN Tashard Choice (16.5)
Here are some notables that weren't drafted:
1. Broncos TE Tony Scheffler
2. 49ers QB Shaun Hill
3. Steelers TE Heath Miller
4. Ravens DEF
5. Dolphins QB Chad Pennington
6. Seahawks WR Deion Branch
7. Rams QB Marc Bulger
8. Titans TE Bo Scaife
9. Raiders QB JaMarcus Russell
10. Packers RB Brandon Jackson

btw.. nice value with these picks.. rotoworlds motif. u prob got cutler for nothing.. and backed him up nicely with good value in palmer. jackson - bust ;). barber good value for a 2nd rb especially with addai added. royal, evans and bowe.. all guys on the uptick and all good targets. im suprised no braylon, rookie rb's, nicks!, PT, schaub, ocho, or some of the other roto favorites this year..

You are still a Shockey believer? I'm done with the guy. But that's a decent looking team if Evans and Royal don't disappoint.

It would be really helpful if you placed the round the player was drafted next to their name so we know what type of value you did or did not get with your picks.

Good point, Roy. It would open the blog to so many more disagreements, I mean discussions, regarding value :-)

BTW, can we assume that you're allowed waiver pickups throughout the year? You know ... so you don't have to play the 2nd half of the season without a TE to dress.

Looks like you got Addai on the cheap... he's very underrated in a PPR format IMO. Ray Rice is a very nice #4 RB.
However, I'm not much of a fan of Lee Evans in a PPR format. He has a terrible habit of disappearing for a month. Then when you bench him, he of course blows up for 8 catches, 160 yards and 3 TDs. Then you start him and he goes away again. Rinse, wash, repeat.
