More Denver Drama

When Brandon Marshall showed up to Denver's minicamp late Friday afternoon, albeit half a day late, it looked like we were going to avoid any major drama between him and the team. No such luck. Marshall showed up to camp, met with owner Pat Bowlen, left the facility carrying some boxes, and did not show up to camp Saturday.

And ... we have a potentially big problem on our hands. Marshall doesn't trust the Broncos training staff to heal his hip, and he thinks he's underpaid. I'm not going to opine how this will play out after the Jay Cutler fiasco, but a prolonged training camp holdout would be not be advantageous for Marshall. He seems very unlikely to get a new contract. We'll see if the Broncos have any interest dealing him.

Tom Curran and I taped a few Three and Out's this week. In this one, we talk about Ocho Cinco's possible rebound, struggling young quarterbacks, and reveal our team of the decade rankings.

im not sure i feel about this. lol.. if he causes enough waves are the gonna trade him to CHI

Don't. Screw. With. Pat. Bowlen.

Best not overplay your hand, Brandon... he's liable to trade you to the XLF for a crate of rubber dog poo. He sure doesn't seem to be in the mood for games this offseason.

Maybe... But a Broncos team already showing a severe lack of direction under a 32 year old head coach who is clearly in over his head cannot continue to get rid of their best players.

I think this is a brilliant move for Marshall. The best day to demand a raise is the day your office has someone leave. They can't afford to lose Marshall and Cutler. If Denver is smart they will pay him quickly.

If this drags on, Broncos fans will revolt.

Wow, just saw the trade demand report. Is it conceivable Marshall could force his way to Chicago?? Do they have enough picks remaining to appease the broncos needs??

lol. this organization gets more pathetic by the moment. not only do their players request out, but they allow it to leak to the media creating the firestorm it does as always. unbelievable. who's runnin this thing. i seriously question pat bowlen as an owner at this point. with all the talk about mcdaniels blowing it - which he is - its also abundently clear that shannahan had vast majority of control of this organization and the goings on there... even in the owners box. its appears that bowlen just handed the keys to shannahan and watched him go. now, when required to lead, i dont think bowlen has the ability to. his gm and coach surely dont.

while this may be just one player - again - it broadcasts volumes of how impetent this teams leadership is. all of these matters - cutler, marshall - should have been handled in house, and long ago. where is the preventive forcasting and planning here. pathetic. im not sure u can even be a broncos fan now.

So how does this affect Royal? I can get good value for him, but I'm in a PPR with both rec and return yardage bonuses. Am I crazy for considering him as untouchable in my dynasty right now.
