In-Progress Mock Draft
I'm currently involved in a 12-team re-draft mock with others in the industry. For now it's only a "mock," but we may wind up playing it out. From the looks of whom I'm going to get at No. 8 overall, I'm hoping to.
This is a points-per-reception league with 4 points for passing touchdowns, 6 for rushing scores, and 6 for receiving.
Here's who's gone so far:
1. Maurice Jones-Drew
2. Adrian Peterson
3. Brian Westbrook (surprise)
4. LaDainian Tomlinson (surprise 2)
5. Michael Turner
6. Matt Forte (biggest steal so far)
7. On the board
8. Evan Silva
I'm looking at Chris Johnson and Steven Jackson and would be extremely happy with either. We do not start a flex in this league (only 2 WRs and 2 RBs), so running backs that can catch are at a pretty big premium.
Is there anyone else you'd consider at this spot? I'll update the mock the next time I go on the clock.

Whoever picked Even Silva at pick 8 is in for a long season. He has bust written all over him. :)

No way that Evan Silva goes 8th overall in any drafts this year :)
Wow, I'm sort of surprised at Michael Turner so high, given that he caught all of 4 passes last year. Johnson vs Jackson is tough - I'd go with Johnson, given what he showed last year. It's tough, because a healthy Jackson in a "run-heavy" Rams offense could (a) be really productive or (b) break down.
It's PPR, what about going for tier 1 WR and picking up a Pierre Thomas in round 2?
I dunno. Geez, you guys think about football early :)

What's Forte's predicted ADP? Anyone? After MJD and AP, and given Chicago's new QB, is Forte a legit 3rd pick?

I'd definitely consider a wideout like Larry Fitzgerald or Andre Johnson, but had both Chris Johnson and Steven Jackson ranked in my top five for this format.
If C. Johnson and Jackson had both gone where I expected them to and I was choosing between a receiver and say, Tomlinson or even Turner, I probably would've leaned towards Fitz.

forte is definitely a legit no. 3, no doubt.

No, I would take one of those two, probably Jackson than Johnson. You should be in great shape for a premiere wr in round 2
