Get your wideouts early

Roddy White is a second rounder
I'm back from our publishers (which you would have known if you were getting your Twitter on), although we are going overtime wrapping up the magazine today. Damn those Dallas lightning storms!
It appears I haven't missed much this week. You know things are slow when John Elway's opinion on his son and the Ochocinco jersey story are lead items.
While everything is fresh on my mind, I'm going to drop a few big picture thoughts on this year's draft season in the blog over the next few days. Let's start with the wideouts.
Wide receiver is heavy at the top, shallow at the bottom this year. There are better first and second-round options than ever. A ton of wideouts worth taking ahead of most RB2s, (I have eleven), but there is a quick fall to the WR3 level, and then it falls off a cliff somewhere around the sixth round.
Things quickly change from Donald Driver, Laveranues Coles, and Hines Ward to Nate Washington and Steve Smith of the Giants. This is much more dramatic than usual.
I'm going to try to get three wideouts in the early portions. But even if I don't, I think you can wait until very deep in the draft to build your depth. There appears to be very little difference between the WR35 and the WR55, and everyone is going to disagree on them a ton. So you may as well wait to grab them.

Definately keep Westbrook. You have 2 very good WR and Westbrook. How many WR can you start each week?

What you guys think about my 3 keepers..M.Turner, R.Brown, A.Rodgers, A.Boldin, and R.Wayne. I am leanin towards Turner, Wayne, and Brown.
But I also have no 2nd or 3rd round pick..

Kurt...thank you for the reply and that is the direction I was headed because I'm not convinced that Warner is a long-term answer.
We are in a PPR league and I think Witten will continue to perform. I just struggle with the thought of keeping Warner when I know Romo, Ryan, and a slew of others will be on the board for a round or two.

Last yr I went 1-2-3 with TO, Moss, & Fitz, and was tops in the league (which has a flex wr/te, so all started). RBs are way over-valued and are a dime a dozen. My late round RBs were Matt Forte and DeAngelo Williams, who both had breakout seasons. I'm just as confident this year that 2 more RBs will break out and that at least half the first-rounders will fall off a cliff. RBs are not worth the top pick.

I'm in a 12 team keeper league where you can keep three players. I'm not sure who the three should be and need some help. A. Johnson for sure keep, F. Gore I'm thinking of keeping and what do I do here....J. Addai or B. Edwards or throw them both back in the pool and have a third round pick. Please help. Thanks.

Downtown, Keep Gore and A.J. and throw Addai and Edwards back. I would bank on the other teams not keeping the right guys and being able to do better with that 3rd round pick, especially if it is an early 3rd round pick.
