In-Progress Dynasty League Draft
I am currently involved in a 12-team dynasty league draft. After executing a trade that brought me another first-round pick, I am armed with two picks in the top 12. My selection is one away. Here is who's gone so far: This is a non-PPR league.
1.01 Sports Grumblings - Moreno, Knowshon
1.02 FantasyFootballStarters.com - Wells, Chris
1.03 FantasyTailgate.com - Brown, Donald
1.04 TheFootballExpert.com - Crabtree, Michael
1.05 FantasyFootballCafe.com - Nicks, Hakeem
1.06 FantasyFootballWhiz.com - Greene, Shonn
1.07 Rotoworld (Drew Silva) - Britt, Kenny
1.08 Footballguys_Smith - On the clock
1.09 Rotoworld.com (Evan)
1.10 FantasySharks.com
1.11 Rotoworld.com (Evan)
1.12 FFToolbox
I currently have my two first-round picks on the table for Shonn Greene. FFWhiz indicated that he wants to see who Footballguys_Smith drafts before deciding whether to pull the trigger. Remember, non-PPR.
Say FFWhiz doesn't make the trade. Who would you target? See my current roster in the last post about this dynasty league.
Also, do you think my proposal was worth it? I know many readers here are in dynasty leagues and wanted any opinions. You guys helped a ton in the last Michael Turner/Frank Gore discussion.

veggieb, you es loco. of course you make that trade your first option. the jets didn't trade half their draft to stick greene in a 3-man committee for the next few years. the fact that they won't re-up thomas jones' contract tells you how much they care to keep him around after this year. and you list a rookie qb and weak receivers as negatives for greene's value? that just means they're going to rely on the running game that much more. their o-line is completely solid and ryan may be a rookie coach (never saw that count towards poor rb production in the past), but he comes from a pound-the-rock offensive philosophy, which is perfectly suited to greene's style. as for leon sayers, i picture a turner-norwood type of situation brewing. what i don't understand about the "sleeper" label is why anyone would sleep on this guy. the whole offense is shaping up to run through him...at least for a couple years until sanchez gets his legs under him and they become more balanced.
and (especially in non-ppr) you can never have too many NFL-starting rbs on your team. if greene pans out as described above, evan can deal pierre thomas, michael bush or even LJ for a wr upgrade. position scarcity makes greene about 10x more valuable than a guy like maclin or DHB.

I think Harvin is a nice upside pick. In an offense with AD and Berrian Harvin should be able to take advantage of single coverage, plus they will find ways to get the ball in his hands.
Sanchez will give you more potential for instant gratification, but I think Stafford has more upside with the second pick, though he'll likely sit all year.

Percy Harvin. Swing for the fences!

You may come to regret giving up both Harvin and Maclin, but you desperately need another RB on your roster. You did what you had to do.

I'm with Dox. I wouldn't trust you with my team!
