Laurent Robinson gets a second chance

A year ago at this time, Rotoworld was giving Laurent Robinson's ascension to a starting role in April top story status. Now he's getting given away for a couple second day moves in the NFL draft.
So what happened?
1. First of all, it's a good reminder that OTA and minicamp depth charts don't mean much. Robinson quickly lost ground to Michael Jenkins and Harry Douglas, who have cemented long-term roles with Matt Ryan.
2. Robinson was buried in Atlanta because he couldn't shake off minor injuries. The Falcons wanted to feature him after he caught four passes for 45 yards in Week 2, but injuries to his tailbone, knee, and hamstring plagued him the rest of the year. He finished with just five catches.
3. We featured Robinson's story last year because he flashed as a deep threat late in his rookie year on tape. He's got potential and some Falcons watchers are wondering what if. That talent is still there, and it will have a chance to grow in St. Louis. Donnie Avery is a starter, but it's wide open after that. Robinson could compete to start with Keenan Burton and should be on deep dynasty radars.
