Skinny Posts: Crabtree in Cleveland?

I am no draft expert, but it seems clear enough that Michael Crabtree would be a "viable" option for the Browns at number five, no matter how they view Braylon Edwards, who I doubt is going anywhere. A starting wideout group that strong would make any quarterback look better. And Cleveland is the rare team drafting high that is unlikely to take a tackle.
Wideout may seem like a luxury when the team needs a pass rusher, but the Browns should go stick to Best Player Available, if they aren't believers in Brian Orakpo or other pass-rushers.

The Browns have so many holes to fill, 'Best Player Available' should be the ONLY way that they use that pick.

I have LT2 so I would love to see the bounce back, but they are negotiating with Sproles right now, that has to be factored in to the rushing title talk.

Most mocks have the Browns taking Orakpo which would seem to be a bit of a reach as he is more of a top 10 player. Wouldn't it be more prudent to take Crabtree at 5 then come back in 2nd round and take one of Barwin, Matthews, Jackson, Johnson, Sintim. Hopefully a RB (Shady McCoy or Brown) will be around with 2nd 2nd round pick and the offense will have added explosive elements and you may have a pass rush.

if they got all those players that would be a blockbuster draft for the browns

I think the good thing is the belief Turner has in LT2. i dont think he'll get close to a rushing title because of the YPC.

Sproles is a fast skinny guy. Anyone who thinks he can be a full committee member has never taken a hit in the NFL. Barring a high draft pick on an RB, LT2 is a lock for 3/4 of the SD carries, which in this day and age of RBBC makes him one of the most reliable and safe picks around.
I wish Norv would shut up though -- enough people will listen to him and start moving LT2 up their draft boards and I'd rather he flew under the radar (as much as it's possible for a 1st ballot HOFer to fly under the radar) so I could pick him up cheaper. Please bring back the articles comparing LT2 (who never takes a vicious hit) to Shaun Alexander (who couldn't avoid a hit) and drive LT2's draft ranking down further!
