Could Matt Jones be the next Antonio Bryant?

The Jaguars lost their patience with Matt Jones Monday, releasing him after he violated his probation by Drinking While Golfing. Jones was entering a contract year, and a likely impending suspension by the NFL must have made the decision easier.
Jones may have to wait to hear from the NFL before he starts getting contract offers. His situation reminds me a lot of Antonio Bryant two years back. Bryant missed an entire season because his status was unclear and his suspension wasn't lifted until October in 2007. The Bucs wound up signing Bryant at a discount rate in 2008, and received huge returns.
Jones could provide a similar bang for the buck. Make no mistake: he's the best wideout available. Jerry Jones loves former Arkansas products and is the patron saint of second chances, so that makes a logical landing spot. The Eagles loved Jones before the '05 Draft and also make some sense.
The moral of this story for fantasy leaguers: Jones may not make an impact for most of the '09 season, but dynasty leaguers should hold on to him.
And with that, I pass the mic to our new Pancake Block writers, Mr. Silva and Wesseling, who will have you have covered in the afternoon.

Timeout: didn't last year, when everybody was talking about Jones drafting a running back, and how it had to be one of the two guys from Arkansas, cause Jones is an Arkansas alum, and he loved Arkansas players, we found out that in fact, he had only once drafted an Arkansas alum? Just because he's from Arkansas doesn't mean Jones has to get him.
It's because he's been in trouble w/ the law recently that Jones wants him...

i guess we wont know until next year if matt is the next a.bryant, that is if his suspension is a year long. i dont think it will be. prob like 5 games? couldnt be much more than that, so he'll prob cling on to some team this year. i wonder if he still has the devotion to improve. thats the major concern with him. always has been.
