Brady Quinn Unshackled

Every Catholic's favorite dreamboat is finally getting his shot. Forget the election, National Brady Quinn day on Thursday is the big event of the week. At least if you have NFL Network.
Quinn's healing powers may not be able to fix Cleveland's poor wideout depth or Braylon Edwards' ugly case of the drops. But he can put up solid QB2 numbers at worst against Denver, Buffalo, and Houston over the next three weeks. After that, he probably won't be a fantasy option: Indy, Tennessee, and Philly are on the docket.
Quinn is a better bet than Sage Rosenfels this week because of the matchups, but Sage should be the superior option over the next month overall. Rosenfels figures to return to the bench in December, while Quinn should keep the gig the rest of the season. Who you take depends on your short and long-term needs. I'd lean Sage unless you need someone this week.

How will this effect Edwards or more importantly Winslow (who I have). I see Winslow as the main benefactor.

Gary-
Bingo. Young QB's always end
using the TE alot. He'll
probably be the biggest
beneficiary of the move
to Quinn.

Brady Quinn has no track record whatsoever and has a short week of practice ... My guess is that Jamal Lewis benefits most in this week's matchup against a pathetic Denver D ..

i disagree that young qb's use their tight ends more often. tight ends are no longer a safety valve, especially a tight end like winslow... can you even name atlanta's starting tight end? and heap, boy he's really benefitting from flacco, isn't he?
on top of that, winslow isn't even a safety valve, he's a first or second option.
the 2 guys who will benefit most are the running back whose carries go way up (lewis) and the running back who can catch passes out of the backfield as the safety valve (wright).

I have to echo echo (heh), with a short week of practice they'll try to take the load off Quinn with the RBs. The Broncos D stinks, so this should be a good opportunity. Speaking of the Broncos, what the heck is wrong with Cutler?!?
