The Orlovsky effect and much more

Dan Orlovsky looks likely to make his first NFL start Sunday. Despite the wishes of Lions fans, the coaching staff doesn't appear comfortable with Drew Stanton. They would have to shave off a big portion of the playbook if he went out there.
So does Orlovsky crush the value of Roy Williams and Calvin Johnson? It hurts it, but not as much as you think. It's not like Orlovsky can do that much worse than Jon Kitna, who has averaged under five yards-per-attempt his last two starts. And Detroit will have to pass often against Minnesota, because that's the only reasonable way to attack them. Orlovsky could be a high volume thrower like last week, where he threw 23 passes in the second half.
Because I feel like I should post this somewhere, here are my picks for the week. 42-29 for the year against the spread! Eat that, Sports Guy! And yes, I just jinxed myself for the rest of the season.

Since Aaron Gleeman is taking this Friday off, here's my music clip of the week. It's only 30 seconds long, taken by my beautiful wife at a great Okkervil River show this Tuesday. Deserves to be mentioned. Also worth checking out from the same show: 2 minutes of their sorta-but-not-totally cover of Sloop John B.

I have Roy Williams on my bench right now heading into Week 6. I'm starting Bobby Engram in his place. With the news that Hasselbeck might not start I'm worried. Seattle plays at 4 est so if it goes down to the wire Roy will have already started his game and I can't use him. It's a flex position and I also have Felix Jones against an underrated Cards D. HELP!!!

Okkervil River rules. So glad to see someone with good taste in fantasy football players AND music. And in addition to being good live, they are also still putting out good records unlike other favorites like Wilco, My Morning Jacket and Built to Spill. I'm guessing you like Band of Horses too. I like what they're doing on record but haven't seen them yet.
OK. Since this is a FF site: I have Marshall, Engram and Bruce in my lineup. I can sub Colston in but not sure how much he plays or if he needs a game to shake off the rust. Play him? And for who?

You call that good music? They absolutely butchered a good Beach Boys song. There is no good musical talent out there anymore, hasn't been in quite some time.

Wow...
Glad I have T.J. Houshmanzadeh and Calvin Johnson slated to start this week with really no other options out there.
Looks like I'll be drinking a few extra on Sunday haha.

I am in the same situation as Jeff, I got R. Williams and Engram...both are suposed to start with a backup QB, so I was starting RW over Engram, but now I read that R. Fitzpatrick is starting also, and my other WR was T.J., so what should I do? start TJ and RW? or its a better option to start Engram/Williams? help please...thanks!
Pd. its not PPR league

The updated info on McFadden being limited again today is making me rethink Addai as my RB2 along side Reggie Bush. Will Fargas be a stronger play in PPR league?

Tell me which WR to go with this week .... Vincent or DeSean Jackson?
The guy I'm playing dropped VJ week one, so I'd like to let VJ get some revenge ... but DeSean seems more explosive.
