Rowdy Roddy White is the truth

I left a few storylines out of the Morning After in an effort to get it posted by 2AM. (No Sunday Night Football has its perks.) One was the outrageous development of Roddy White, top-five receiver. Sunday against the Eagles marked another big step in the fantasy growth of the Matt Ryan-to-White combination.

They were on the road, against a tough defense, Ryan didn't play particularly well. But he played well enough to post excellent fantasy stats and get the ball to White for his fourth 100-yard game in five. (The other was 90 yards.) That's amazing for a rookie quarterback.

White is the NFC's Lee Evans, developing an all-field game when he was once just a deep threat. White may be even better than Evans because he's more physical. White is the number one fantasy wideout thus far in standard leagues; he's third in PPR leagues. We can stop waiting for him to slow down.

gregg,
its about time u posted something like this. all year all ive been hearing is that roddy is a wr2/strong wr3.. not a wr1 cus he doesnt score enough td's?? whatever. people keep putting chad, to, and holt over him. get real. finally some vindication. thanks

What happened to Josh Morgan?
I took him on three teams and he led each to a loss. It's getting to the point where everyone needs to look in the other direction when Gregg and the gang profess their man love for a new receiver.
Very disappointing

TFRAM,
I hear ya about Morgan. I took him over Avery off the wire last week.

It's not Gregg's fault though. He could be the #1WR on a pass-wacky team.

He's got high-risk high-reward written all over him. He's a SF wideout, that's why.

Picking up Josh Morgan and starting him in THREE leagues is nobodies fault but your own. Morgan may have been a recommended pickup, but one shouldn't throw caution to the wind and haphazardly insert him over other quality options. Maybe this is where your disappointment comes from: all THREE of your teams are so horrible you could justify starting, and counting on the 49ers rookie WR to produce. I'd focus on that rather than lashing out at those trying to help you. Don't burn bridges, you clearly could use all the help you can get, son.

i do remember gregg correctly predicting lance moore's breakout game.

In response to Police's post, I think that issues like TFRAM's could easily be resolved by posting all sit/start questions here.

A little hypocritical to "police" sit/start posts and then criticize someone's sit/start decisions....

Thanks for the words of wisdom DAD!
Look, I'm not blaming Gregg and I am happy to take responsibility for my own lame ass decisions and I've been doing this long enough to suffer through bad receiver weeks before. Hell I went through it with Bryant earlier this year after Gregg fell in love with him. I used him, got no points, then sat him and he went off.I'm merely frustrated is all as I like many others (Gregg included) get swept up with visions of 150 yards and two TD's against a pretty ordinary Seattle D. I figured at worst the dude would pull 75 yards. Lesson finally learned, go with the steady guys that get you average points. Oh, and lighten up Police dude, ur bringing me down. God help us if you ever move to movie reviews.
