Rankings Updates

Not a lot of huge changes this week.
Quarterbacks: Damon Huard up. I'm not overly concerned with Carson Palmer's elbow.
Running Backs: Reggie Bush up slightly, Matt Forte down, Earnest Graham and Jamal Lewis down slightly. Darren McFadden down. Jonathan Stewart up. Brian Westbrook on the list just in case.
Wide Receivers: Bryant Johnson, Brandon Lloyd, and David Patten all down. They are ranked as if they will start. Patten is the least likely. Jerry Porter is on the list.

why Forte down?

I am a bit shocked that Jonathon Stewart was listed ahead of Earnest Graham to begin with (18th/19th), but what's the explanation of lowering Graham down to 22nd against an easy Green Bay Packers Rush Defense?
Green Bay's Rush Defense is worse than New Orleans Saints rush defense and both running backs have RBBC issues...But Graham, not Jonathon, has more touches.
Nonetheless, I am going to start Jonathon Stewart over Earnest Graham because your recomendations haven't disappointed me yet this season.

Requests for blog topics:
What is the origin of the names "Sam", "Ted", and "Mike" for linebackers?
From a "once they are healthy" viewpoint, how would you rank Kevin Curtis, Jerry Porter, Dante Stallworth, Deion Branch, and Bobby Engram? (Standard scoring vs. PPR?)

Pretty sure they are just short forms for strong, middle and tackle backers...nothing too exciting....just something that caught on.

Jamal down vs the Bengals-when reports say they are going to revolve their whole plan around him? i don't get tht one Greg? He might go for 100 yards and 2 scores.

They also use Sam, Mike, and Will (strong side, middle, and weak side lb)
