What to watch for tonight
With our first live Fantasy Fix in the books, the season feels ready to begin. We still have to get through the mostly meaningless final week of the preseason, though. There are a few things to watch tonight. Here's what I'm looking for.
1. How does Rudi Johnson fare in Cincinnati?
2. Baltimore quarterbacks: I'm guessing it's Troy Smith to start Week 1 regardless, but a big game from Joe Flacco could change things.
3. The Chris Taylor/ Steve Slaton battle in Houston.
4. Ryan Grant getting some work in to prove he's healthy.
5. Can Roydell Williams do enough to avoid getting cut in Tennessee; Same with Troy Williamson in Jacksonville
6. Can Ronnie Brown show enough to get an even split of touches in Week 1?
The real stuff is only a week away. Once the games are complete Thursday, we should start seeing roster paring Friday before Saturday's deadline.

I created a group for us loyal Pancake Blocks readers for the $100KFC. The group I created last year, Drew Brees' Mole, drew over 100 readers from Gregg's blog, including the triple-G'd one himself, and it was a pretty fun competition.
The group name is "Its Sparano not Soprano" and the password is "McFadden". Come join the group!

Gregg any news on why grant missed the game. They are calling him questionable for start of season. Are they over reacting or what? They said that he was really close and suppose to play. I am thinking it is a precautionary measure. My question is has he been practicing and what do you think of this situation? Also will he be ready to go week 1? Getting worried it is bad enough he is facing the vikings week 1 never mind questionable.

The group # is 1945.
I think the Packers wanted to get Grant some carries tonight, but the starters scored a TD on their very first play and then they took the starters out. They might just have not wanted Grant to run behind the 2nd team OL.
