The injury no one talks about

A first-round fantasy pick missed the offseason because of a contract dispute. He hasn't practiced for nearly all of training camp, and it looks quite possible he won't play in the preseason. And yet, absolutely no one has batted an eye. The question becomes: Why aren't we more worried about Ryan Grant?
Because he came out of nowhere last season, Grant was the top-15 pick I felt least comfortable with. But I like the system in Green Bay, and I love the lack of true competition for carries. There is no doubt Grant is explosive. In a diluted year for backs, he just made the elite cut. This hamstring injury has lasted long enough for it to be a concern. I projected a huge gap after Grant originally to my RB11 (MJD), but that gap is closing. If I had a pick on the first round turn this weekend, I could now see passing on Grant for a wide receiver.

Ummm...No. Just which reciever do you think warrants a higher pick than him anyway? The injured Braylon Edwards? Terrel and Randy both project to be gone by the time it is time to take Grant.I'd be surprised if Wayne is around in any competent draft. So it's an injured Braylon or Colston imo.Gimme Grant ftw.

Nah...Gregg is right on here. You know Grant will be available right towards the end of round one. Thankfully, I don't have to pick there, but I'd hate to take a RB that has an injury that could be explosive over a sure thing like Wayne and company. Hell, I was thinking on passing on S. Jax with the 5th pick up until his recent resolution. But...maybe that's just me.

Do yourself a favor do not pass on grant that would be a huge mistake. I look at grant as a peterson only an injury can stop him. The guy only started 7 games out of 15 and wound up over 900 yards and eight touchdowns. That is crazy. Every one says they will make rodgers throw the ball and put eight in the box if they do that it will be a mistake and rodgers will tear them up with jones, driver, and jennings. The only reason rodgers has not looked that great in the preseason is because grant has an injured hammy. The defense is expecting the pass! Grant is a BEAST and should wind up with first round numbers of course if he stays healthy. Lets be honest this is football anyone can get injured. One more comment how do you have brett favre ranked so low? That is rediculous. He is possibly the best quarterback of all time. I like Joe Montana but you are under rating him. I know it is a new system but he has basicly the same weapons as green bay. he should be ranked higher definetly. i know people are over looking him for what happened but the guy waived 20 million to come back and play. Now thats heart. favre is no dummy and has a better offensive line a good runningabck 2 very solid recievers and an up and coming tight end. Not sure who his third reciever is but heard he was okay 2. Go FAVRE GO. I am a pats fan but wish favre the best.

You can play in my league any day, jacob. The only problem for you may be that our point system is based on the season COMING UP, not the past decade. Favre WAS great, but now only IS good. Yes he has heart, but that and $2 will get you a copy of the picture of another owner in your league holding the 2008 trophy.

Juggs - that is classic! Was thinking the same thing. Wish Jacob was in my league.

Jacob -
The rankings are based on projected points this season, not on historical records or "heart," or even his decisions surrounding the unretirement. You may love Joe Montana, but I'm betting he doesn't get drafted this year in any fantasy leagues. If you want to win your league, don't draft players because you like them. I hate when people say, "T.O. will never be on my fantasy team - such a bad attitude." Last time I checked, "attitude" doesn't show up in the box score.
As for the Jet's third WR - here's a tip on how to use the web - go to the top of this page and from the NFL drop down, choose "Depth Charts." You can thank me later.

did you look at last season fantasy stats! Not sure you did. If you did you would not be saying that. He was the fifth overall quarterback. I actually waited for favre in my league because of nieve people like you. I also nabbed rodgers 2. But I am sure my team is better that yours that is for sure. I have Adrian Peterson, Peterson, Ryan Grant, Holt, Chad johnson, Joey Galloway, Johnathon Stewart, Jeremy Shockey, Dallas Defense, Favre and Rodgers, bironas kicker, crumpler back up tight end. Donte stallworth and Lamont jordan. I like jordan if he becomes goal line back. Stallworth i my switch up for hightower for arizona. 12 team money league standard scoring. Brett favre will be a number 1 quarterback definetly. I am also sure this team would beat yours.
