Shanny knew about Henry's drug test

So it looks like Mike Shanahan didn't totally decide to enter the Selvin Young era on his own. Travis Henry tested positive for marijuana yet again this summer, and the Broncos reportedly knew about it before releasing him. Since the drug program is confidential, we can't fault the Broncos for not divulging why Henry was booted at the time.

This doesn't change my feelings on Young. Henry was no lock to make the team even before failing this test. But the news reminds us of something all us fantasy leaguers know: Shanahan is tied to no runner. He didn't cut Henry because he was convinced Young was the man. He cut Henry because he had no choice. I'm sure Shanny likes his young stable of runners, but I'm also sure he won't be shy about shaking things up if the backfield struggles.

"the broncos reportedly knew about it"? who reported that? everything that's coming out says they didn't know about it. stop making stuff up gregg. if your gonna state your opinions or lame guesses don't say you're basing them on fact when you're not. I'm done with this site. not much info ever and the stuff you do get isn't informative.

get off your high bronco horses, you really think shanarat and the broncos didn't know about this,of course they knew, thats why he was released when he was

keep up the good reporting gregg

actually marks right. the denver post did an article on it. there is a link on profootball.com. he got canned for missing meetings and workouts. he was on a really short leash before all of that.

sorry, profootballtalk.com

C'mon guy's it's all PR work! It says the drug program is confidential. Media is speculation anyhow! Unless your part of the organization you don't know squat!

Keep up the good work Gregg!!!

a team official was sighted in the article. maybe you guys should read it. I like this site and I'm not frustrated like the other guy, but he raised aome good points. it doesn't seem like there is much going on here lately. I know its the offseason but one blurb a day? btw, I'm not a bronco fan. don't know about the other dude

Wow...is it Hate-On-Gregg Day or something? Travis Henry won't be a running back in the NFL for a while. Who cares who knew about the failed test?

My guess is that Gregg has a lot of other things on his plate this summer (draft guide, magazines, videos, i.e. his job) to worry about posting multiple blogs on Pancake Blocks every day.

Just thought I'd point out that you guys are being a bit harsh. The season will be here before you know it...chill out!
