Ronnie Brown vs. Brandon Jacobs

Finishing off another magazine. Unless big news happened, I try not to adjust my projections too much. Often, we can overthink things and tweak too much based on minor news.
One player that got a slight tweak downwards was Ronnie Brown. I thought the carry split between him and the other Miami backs was too uneven. The minor downgrade left him tied for RB14 with Brandon Jacobs. But I'm not a huge fan of ties, and want to make a choice. I know how I'm leaning, but what say you Pancake Blockers?

Jacobs.
They are close though. I would rather draft Jacobs and handcuff him with Bradshaw in a later round than get Brown and watch Ricky Williams/Lorenzo Booker steal touches.

Jacobs. Better team more potential TDs.

Tough call, really tough. I would side with Jacobs too in a redraft league. But dynasty/keeper, the choice is Brown.

Jacobs is going to get injured, just something you have to factor in. Even so, I'd rather have Jacobs at this point because Parcells/Sparano have pretty much proven they like RBBC approach and I don't trust Brown to recover so quickly from ACL surgery, typical 18 months to full health. Plus the ranting-raving about Ricky kicks him down a notch. Jacobs all day at this point.

Close call but I slightly favor Brown in seasonal formats (significantly favor in keeper leagues).
First, Jacobs is injury prone. He missed 5 games last year, has a broken wrist now and any owner should factor him to miss a few games this season.
However, Jacobs is playing on a significantly better offense than Brown.
Brown is unquestionably the better talent. Although his injury was more extreme he does not have the injury history Jacobs does. Also he should recover and flourish down the stretch when Fantasy owners need him most.
After writing all this I'm starting to question my choice. Brown seems to be a slightly bigger risk but with a bigger payoff if he recovers and can function in what seems to be a horrible team.

jacobs, just by a lil bit.
Tony B: lo booker is no longer on the team and only a small threat...to brian westbrook's touches

My guess in most drafts Brown will end up being the better value. Most mocks I have done have him sliding way down, to where you can almost get him as a rb3. I think when it matters (weeks 6-16) Ronnie Brown may be the better choice and value. I'd pass on jacobs take a better rb2 or wr then let Ronnie Brown slide to me later.
