Downgrade Devin
I wrote up a column today: The nine stories you need to know from training camp so far. That covers most of the weekend fun.
We've covered a few on the blog, but one that has been overlooked is Devin Thomas' hamstring injury. I don’t rank any rookie receiver as being draftable in a 12-team, 15-man roster league, but I had the highest hopes for Devin Thomas. After a hamstring injury that will keep him out two weeks, it’s time to dim those hopes some. He was already behind fellow rookie Malcolm Kelly, who now has a better chance to start opposite Santana Moss.

Gregg,
I find it interesting that you had high hopes for a rookie Redskins receiver when it seems that you've been REALLY down on the 'Skins all off season so far.
Are you willing to admit that Washington may be OK after all? Seems to me like all it takes is a nominal grasp of the offense by Jason Campbell and this team could be pretty good. I love Portis especially...

It's obvious you are the typical Skins homer...
But to make the leap from Gregg having one of the Redskins rookie WR's as a possible late round flier to him having 'high hopes' for the team is one heck of a stretch. Even for a Skins homer.
Next thing you'll interpret is that Gregg thinks the Skins make it to the Super Bowl.
Good luck on that one.

No Joe, you're wrong...I actually hate the Skins, so it's actually you who interpreted me incorrectly.
I just think WAS has a little more fantasy relevance than Gregg has given them credit for so far this off season, and thought it was odd he would mention Thomas as a flier. Sorry it ticked you off so bad.

Sure - they may be Ok - any team might be. I just think there is a lot of uncertainty with their passing game especially. Campbell has been one of my favorite young qbs for a while, i just dont think this is the year for him in fantasy leagues.
