Mailbag Answers: Jackson could start for NE
I opened the floor to questions last week, and will answer a couple at a time this week during the blog. You can still submit questions or email me and I'll answer the best.
Who do you like emerging to start opposite of Randy Moss in NE? You seem down on Gaffney, but is Jackson really the answer? I haven't seen him play. If Jackson's not who could be?
I'm not down on Gaffney, he just gets a lot of his real world value by blocking. I think the Patriots would like Jackson to emerge there and I believe he will. He flashed some skills as a rookie, and I've heard he has the talent to make a big impact replacing Stallworth. In their system, though, I don't think either Gaffney or Jackson will get starter worthy snaps. They will rotate. That will make it tough for either to be fantasy-worthy in '08.
How did you go from starring in the wonder years to being a fantasy football writer?
I have received a variation of this comment about 1,342 times since the blog started. It's got to be that god awful glamour shot that we use at the top of the blog because this hasn't been mentioned once to me in real life. (I'm working on changing that, preferably for something ... football related. Still, I'll take being Kevin Arnold. Y'all wish you could pull Winnie Cooper.

anyway, Who's gonna come out of that receiver mess in Seattle with any fantasy value? Seems like a toss up as it stands.
