Smith vs. Colston vs. Marshall

Some of you thought the Jamal Lewis vs. Michael Turner battle wasn't very close. I would argue that many of the same people thought Lewis was overrated as a fifth-round pick last year, but the people have spoken. Today's three-way battle is hopefully more interesting: Steve Smith vs. Marques Colston vs. Brandon Marshall.
This year looks promising for Smith, but he's annually overrated by us fantasy types because he's a great NFL player. He only topped 1,200 yards or eight touchdowns once in his career. Marshall and Colston have already equaled that total and play for better passing teams - especially Colston. There is some projecting here, but let's allow that Marshall is healthy well before most draft days, which is expected. Rank 'em in order if you please.

Also, Colston is coming off knee surgery...

i think the signing of dj hackett is huge for steve smith
teams are gonna have to respect dj hacketts ability on the field ,the only question mark is delhomme,if he good to go there is no doubt in my mind that steve smith is #1
colston is the safest play of the 3 wr

Smith, Colston, Marshall.
For me, the Smith Colston question comes down to the rest of my team. If I have a great team already and I'm looking for consistency, I go for Colston. If I'm looking for a WR who will win me a fantasy game, then I go Smith.
Marshall is not even close. Cutler doesn't trust him and neither do I. Cutler is looking for Scheffler in the red zone.

how can you say cutler doesnt trust marshall when he lead the league in targets and had 102 catches?

Cool, I'm glad you guys are underrating Marshall, I'll be glad to draft him then.
I'd rank them Smith, Marshall and then Colston. All close, I'd love to have all 3 guys on my team but thats where it is. Smith gets the nod because what he's done and showed consistency. Marshall has the greatest upside though. Cutler and co have just got started, offense will be better under a improved line, and with some luck with injuries they will be much better than last season. Look at the numbers, Cutler threw over 3000 yards and that was even with a crap line.

I still say Colston, Smith, Marshall. Someone had Colston ranked last out of the three of them because of injuries. If he can have two outstanding seasons in a row playing injured he is truly a stud. Plus with an elite QB like Brees throwing him the ball, I'll take Colston and you guys can have Smith and Marshall both. Carolina is gonna run way more this year and Denver is always running the ball unless their RB gets hurt or sucks(look at last year).

this shoulda been colston vs marshall. dont discount either because both are entering that magical 3rd year. ask braylon how that works. i prefer marshall because he has more ball skills than colston. hes faster and better after the catch. dont forget colston was originally drafted as a te. dont be surprised when marshall becomes a top 5 wr this year.
