One Giant Wad

That's what Mike Heimerdinger calls his receiver group. 'Dinger will throw out last year's numbers when coming up with his depth chart. Here's Jim Wyatt's take on their receiver ranks.
For now, Justin Gage and Justin McCareins will start out on top, with Roydell Williams MIA and Brandon Jones too inconsistent. McCariens has a history with Heimerdinger, but he's got a long way towards being draft-worthy in fantasy leagues. My initial projections had Gage, Williams, and Jones essentially canceling each other out. I think Gage is going to get overdrafted based on last season. There is just too much unpredictability here, and not enough talent from Gage.
The Titans wideouts may not give us much this season, but they have given us a great new phrase to describe muddled fantasy situations. Join us next time when we examine the Giant Wad at running back in Denver.

Roydell has the talent but really can't seem to stay upright. Maybe Lavelle Hawkins will turn out to be decent. Otherwise not much stands out.

Honestly, this is probably the least talented receiving group in the NFL and I would be hard pressed to talk myself into drafting any of them.

Although you obviously can draft Dwayne Bowe, the Titans unit overall is head-and-shoulders above the Chiefs.

My league is only 8 teams and I won't draft any Titans. Get some sleep Gregg. Did you go eat at Bob's Chophouse? Best steak you'll ever have.

only eight teams?! i hope u expand ur horizons and take a chance on the joys of a 14 team dynasty league, where this stuff matters. as for gage, i have to agree, but im skeptical. everythime a young QB (vick:crumpler) or even old at times (favre:driver) 'clicks' with a receiver of lesser talent, they some how stick around as the prime target. maybe im overjudging this since gage is clearly a fillin and didnt really put up big numbers, but i think ill be interesting to see, since no WR of VY's first year had any kind of impact.
