Michael Turner vs. Jamal Lewis

Another great job with the Grant vs. Barber debate. With some precincts still hanging, Grant holds a one vote lead. Let's stick with running backs, moving into the RB2 territory.

Fantasy owners have been waiting for Michael Turner to become a primary back for years; then he got stuck in Atlanta. He's good, but he's never topped 100 carries before and he's going to have to carry a bad offense. Lewis turned around a severe decline last year, and he certainly plays on a great offense. But the schedule gets harder this year and he will be ranked higher than any back with more than 2,000 career carries except LT2. So let me know your pick: Do you hope for one more good year from Lewis or chase the upside of Turner?

This is crazy to even compare these two.

Please PUMP up the Jamal Lewis' of the fantasy world.

Ill take MTurners all day.

Lewis inconsistant 0 breakway spead. Turner will be forced to carry that ball allllllllll game long due to his payday.

I don't have Michael Turner ranked all that highly for this season. I think he's an outstanding talent and I foresee him improving greatly by next season. But in an offense that has changed schemes twice in the past two years, with an uninspired group of position players around him and with questionable line talent, I just don't see him as a starting fantasy back this year. He'll get his opportunities, which should lead to yards, but I don't think he'll sniff 10 TDs. More like 6 or 7.

I have never been a big Jamal Lewis fan, but he's the choice here. He'll be his usual up and down self this year and probably end up with slightly lower numbers than last year. One thing that I haven't seen mentioned is that Jamal is once again playing for a contract whereas Turner just cashed in. Jamal will have all the motivation he needs.

lewis, because the defense cannot key in on stopping him without getting stung by edwards, stallworth or winslow

turner will be ok because of opposing defense wanting to stop the run and forcing the falcons to prove they can win passing the ball
