Another quagmire: Detroit RBs

It's not a good sign when Artose Pinner's signing supposedly scrambles your depth chart. Mlive's Tom Kowalski makes a great point though; Pinner has special teams value. Brian Calhoun and Tatum Bell. That's why Kevin Smith and Pinner may be the safest bets to make the roster. Bell is lightly penciled in as the starter right now, but it would be no surprise if he's cut. Just like in Cincinnati, training camp is going to mean more than ever.

I was way down on Bell last year, and I'm still going to recommend staying far away.

i think if the lions are smart they would go and sign dominic rhodes or lamont jordan once he's released both have experience in the zone blocking scheme and both know how to get yds ,lameont was actually leading the league in rushing until he hurt his back and dominic had back to back 100 yd games at the end of the season
