Veterans who lost value in fantasy leagues
I'll get deeper on why these players made the list in a column, but here's a list, focusing on day one, of players who saw their 2008 fantasy value take a hit to varying degrees.
Willie Parker
DeAngelo Williams
Cedric Benson
Jason Witten
Aaron Rodgers
Justin Fargas
Michael Bush
Hines Ward
Donald Driver
Nate Washington
Kolby Smith
Marc Bulger
Chris Henry
LenDale White
James Jones
Chris Cooley
Chris Redman

Gregg,
What about Heath Miller? Sweed is a big WR and in IMO a end zone threat. I feel that Sweed will take red zone targets away from Miller. Plus with a big back like Mendenhall the Steelers may run more in the red zone. Miller has been a top 10 fantasy TE, but I think that he may have a tough time reaching the top 10 in 2008.

Jason Witten will be fine. Bennett won't keep him from getting his touches.

Jamaal Charles poses more of a threat to Larry Johnson's value than Kolby Smith's. Suggests to me that LJ may be going the route of Shaun Alexander, maybe as soon as 2009.

Wow! Aaron Rodgers' value fell in this list from 5th, all the way to 17th, even before Greg could finish!

Jason Witten loses NO VALUE - nor does Hines Ward(this year)- pretty much agree with everything else.

How can you say Witten or Bulger lost value? Both went UP in value, if anything. Dallas didn't make a real run at a WR, making Witten as valuable in the passing game as ever. Bulger gets a speedy WR to stretch the D, and a lineman.
