Raiders don't need McFadden

On-record draft talk by NFL coaches should be taken with an ocean's worth of salt. With that said, Lane Kiffin's comments Tuesday about Darren McFadden are spot on: They don't have a need at running back.
Justin Fargas, Dominic Rhodes, and Michael Bush represent a significant investment at running back. Practically the only thing Oakland did well last year was run block and churn up yards on the ground. They have much bigger needs.
There are reports that Oakland's number four pick will be for sale, but it's unlikely anyone will want to move up that high. Kiffin's comment could be seen as another chapter in the coaches squabble with Al Davis (Davis is rumored to love McFadden), but he's telling the truth. That doesn't mean Davis will listen.

Abhay,
I'm saying that Oakland snuck up on people last year with their running game and didn't face very good defensive competition. If you take a look at their opponents, you'll see that most of the significant outings come against defenses in the bottom half against the run. They didn't have a rusher (Rhodes) hang a 100 yard game on a decent team until week 16 vs Jacksonville and again in 17 vs a resting Chargers team.
The Vikings were able to accomplish this vs stronger competition despite coordinators knowing Jackson couldn't beat them. Oakland was an enigma in the post B&B offense era and benefited from that. If Oakland doesn't either come up with a passing game or build a significantly better o-line (the Vikings model), I see a big drop off in their rushing totals next year.
I'm also of the opinion that DMc isn't as good as his hype, but thats probably a topic for another time.

No one wants that pick though because of how pricey it is. I doubt they can trade out.

Chad,
And i am of the opinion that you are an idiot. And what type of hype has DMc gotten? It's been over a year since he was drafted and he hasn't even been playing for a year yet. So what hype are you talking about? he can throw the ball a country mile, that is not hype that is the truth. But it remains to be seen how good he is going to be. So for you to sit there and say I don't think he is going to be as good as his hype makes you an a sshole and a moron. No one pays you for your opinion, so it doesn't mean s hit. So just sit back and root for your Vikings who have never won anything and let Raider fans worry about the Raiders you ignorant f uck.
