Harrison's shelf life in doubt

This week in my NBCSports.com column, I wrote about five veterans who should be nervous on draft day that an incoming rookie could eventually steal their playing time.
I wrote that the Colts' draft would be telling to see how they felt about Marvin Harrison's future. NFL Network reported Thursday that Early Doucet and Mario Manningham were in town Thursday. You don't make smokescreens for picks as late as Indy's first, so the Colts are clearly considering taking a starting-caliber wideout.
Another name that didn't make this list was suggested by Evan Silva: Dallas' Roy Williams. Williams' struggles in coverage could wind up getting him traded, and Dallas would need a replacement. Alex Barron and Brodie Croyle were two others that I considered.

GR-
The Colts don't have a 1st
round pick this year.
Depending on whom they like
at WR, they could either
move up into the 40-50 zone
or just hope their guys falls
down to their 2nd round slot.

Whatever pick they have, point being " Manning to Harrison" may soon be history.

I'm glad you didn't include Croyle. Seems like a stretch to call him a Veteran, even the Chiefs do go with Matt Ryan or someone else as the starter.
