Pancake Blocks Mock Draft: Pick No. 11
It took part of the afternoon to locate James N. but we found him to take the Bills pick. Here goes.
With the 11th pick in the draft The Buffalo Bills select Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.
I know that it might make the most sense for the Bills to go with a WR here, but with a defense desperately lacking playmakers, and a WR class with no real standouts, I think DRC will be able to step in right away and make a difference. He's big and strong and can run with any receiver in the league.....and with a pass defense that dipped to 29th in the league against the pass after the loss of Nate Clements I think this is a far more glaring need.
WR may be a sexier need, but I feel the difference between the top WR's available now and what may be around in the 2nd round is not nearly great enough to justify passing up on an athlete with as much upside as DRC.

Great pick James N. I was hoping you wouldn't take Malcolm Kelly and you didn't. Bravo!

I could quibble that Devin Thomas is rising fast and looks like the real thing... but not too much.
Nice pick.
You also make a good point that decent receivers and pass catching TE's will be there in round 2.

Great pick not pulling last years Ted Gin Jr. DRC makes much more sense then over-paying for a hyped WR.

Good pick and a wise move for Buffalo to build its DB's. A smart GM would go defence on this one. But Mendenhall and Lynch in the backfield would be Outstanding!!!!

What upside !?! He only has one kidney ! We don't need another accident waiting to happen. Give me a CB that can get INT's and make a tackle. That's why D. Thomas should be the pick. Any TE (there are @ least 7 TE's in the draft as good and better than who we have now) in the 2nd. Then look for A. Taleb in the 3rd/4th.
