Saints need receivers

Henderson is likely done in NOLA
I'm putting together my list of prospective free agents, and noticed a trend at wide receiver and tight end: There are a lot of Saints.
New Orleans wideouts Devery Henderson, David Patten, and Terrance Copper are all scheduled to hit the open market. Tight ends Eric Johnson and Billy Miller are also unsigned. Not counting running backs, five of New Orleans' leading seven receivers could leave.
The Saints have finished in the top-three in passing yards the last two seasons using spare parts, but upgrading at receiver would help Drew Brees immensely. They hope that last year's first-round pick, Robert Meachem, can contribute. But they can't count on it.
I look for the Saints to bring back Patten and one of the tight ends, probably Miller. i also think they will be very active seeking another receiver to start. Bernard Berrian, D.J. Hackett, and Jerry Porter are all possibilities. While the Saints need far more defensive help, don't be surprised if Sean Payton spends big bucks to upgrade his receiver unit.

As a Saints fan, it would be fantastic to see Berrian or Hackett in black & gold next year. With Colston on the other side, those guys would be great hits. I like the idea of Berrian more b/c he is a burner, but Hackett would be nice too.

Hackett is a rising star in the making. Greg, I simply can not see any circumstance esp with Branch hurt - where Seattle does not get him signed up. Hackett goes no where.

Why would Meachem not be able to contribute? He is a first round pick and tore it up at Tennessee.

He couldn't pass Lance Moore and Copper on the chart this year. Maybe he develops but cant 100% count on him.
