The other Steve Smith will be a Rotoworld guy
One way the Giants can beat New England is by spreading them out and getting rookie Steve Smith involved. When asked if he expected to be on the field a lot on Sunday, Smith got a huge smile and said “definitely.”
I think the Giants are going to have to go three and four wide plenty to expose New England's secondary depth. Smith will beat Randall Gay or the Patriots safeties. Smith has been getting open well lately, but not always finishing the play.
Smith attributes his sudden success to Jeremy Shockey’s injury. He basically replaced Shockey as the team’s third receiver. He thought that he was in a route-running groove early in the year before he got hurt.
One thing I've picked up from the Giants is that they expect Steve Smith to be a long-time starter and that they don't expect much from Sinorice Moss (who is the smallest player I've seen).
Smith is going to be a Rotoworld favorite whenever Amani Toomer leaves the team. The game isn't too big for him and his speciality is precise route running. That's the fastest way to become a successful receiver in the NFL, and those types of guys get overlooked in fantasy leagues.
