Linked: Post Wild Card weekend
Links while recovering from a solid B+ slate of Wild Card games, now only five days away from the best weekend of pro football of the season.
* The dark last days of Cam Cameron. Some jaw-dropping stuff in here about Joey Porter just lambasting Cameron in front of the team Cameron seems like the ultimate coordinator that is not head coach material.
* The Tennessee papers were surprisingly negative about the Titans this morning, but I can see their point. They had a great opportunity, and they gave it away. The defensive breakdowns were tough to overcome. Keith Bullock points the finger at the offense.
Finnegan's wake: Cortland has a career-making first half only to be filleted for 30 minutes after halftime.
* Did the Chargers grow up Sunday? I love that they were already talking about next week the minute the game was over. They don't feel like they accomplished much yet.
* Even a frustrating outing, can't keep Joey Galloway's mind off of smoothies.
* Underrated moment of the weekend: Pittsburgh's decision to run Ben Roethlisberger on third-and-six, when a first down virtually wins the game. That call is rightly taking some criticism, along with some game management problems from Mike Tomlin.
The Steelers also thought there was holding on the big David Garrard scramble.
* Its not the offseason without some Raiders coaching drama.
* More useful season recaps and grades for the Lions and Rams.
* The Patriots will have no shortage of bulletin board material to use this week. Expect to hear a lot about this story, however meaningless.
