Linked: Coaching moves trickle out
Mike Nolan is sticking around, but only after firing his offensive staff. He might be a lame duck. Mike Martz is gone in Detroit, which isn't good news for Jon Kitna's fantasy future. Rob Ryan is out in Oakland, which shows a surprising amount of power in the organization by Lane Kiffin. Here are some other odds and ends from Wednesday morning ...
* This one is a few days old, but Marvin Lewis' constant complaints about his players' attitudes are odd. Isn't it his job to change those attitudes? Anyhow, I wonder who keeps complaining about their contract? It has to be T.J. Houshmandzadeh, and probably Chad Johnson too.
* Jaguars LB Mike Peterson won't return for Saturday night's Steelers game. Pittsburgh will be on their third left tackle, now that Max Starks is gone for the year.
* Not to be out-done by Jason Whitlock, Michael Felger has his year-end Patriots grades. Always good stuff.
* Oakland's off-season issues, in a nutshell.
* Was keeping A.J. Smith through 2014 really necessary? He's a great GM, but his Norv Turner hire is going to define the next few seasons. The Chargers do have laudable continuity with their player contracts and the AFC West is definitely in a down cycle.
* Donovan McNabb's chances of staying with Philadelphia may be less than 95%, but it's higher than most of their fans want to admit.

I'm jumping ahead a bit. But
Cameron would be terrific in
San Fran.
I'd gladly belly up to the
bar again in early-mid round
1 for Gore if Cam is
out there running that
offense.

Gore will be a huge bounce back guy regardless who is running the offense- but i agree if Cam is there - i put Gore in my top 4.
