Like Bill Cowher, I grew to be down on Mike Mularkey as a play-caller. But I still think this is a great hire for the Falcons because my expectations were so low. They needed some experience on the offensive side of the football. Mularkey, for all his quirks, was a head coach in Buffalo and manned a solid Pittsburgh offense. His first Bills team was in the top ten of points and featured a run-heavy approach. Potentially good news for Jerious Norwood.
