Bucs-Giants Liveblog, Third Quarter
2:34: Fox opens the second half with the most depressingly popular rap song of the year: "Party like a Rock Star."
2:36: Michael Spurlock fumbles the opening kickoff, right in front of Jon Gruden. Oh boy.
2:37: It's a quarter earlier, but the Giants have a chance like Washington had yesterday to take the game over after a turnover on a kickoff. Calling Shaun Suisham.
2:40: Giants inside the ten. I should have learned from yesterday, but I'm saying this one is just about over if the Giants score a touchdown here. Eli overthrows Plaxico by ten yards, five more than usual.
2:43: Two penalties by the Giants, shades of their 2006 self, wind up with the Giants scoring a field goal.
2:44: Troy Aikman informs us that there is nothing in the rulebook that says a team has to score a touchdown after giving away good field position. Good to know.
2:48: Spurlock holds on to this one. Tampa has one first down since their touchdown drive.
2:50: Graham refuses to go down at first contact on two straight runs. Then converts a huge third-and-inches. You get the sense Tampa is scratching just to move the ball forward at all.
2:55: Graham continues to play well. He bares a striking resemblence to Cee-Lo. I prefer to remember him as a member of Goodie Mobb, not Gnarls Barley. I'll shut up now.
2:56: Jeff Garcia throws a flat, weak deep ball that is picked off by Corey Webster. Webster is having a career game, while Garcia is showing his limitations. I can hear the post-game presser blaming it on having too much rest after his injury.
2:58: Quite a weekend for interceptions. David Garrard had three all year, then two Saturday. Roethlisberger had eleven all year, then throws three in the first half. Todd Collins didn't throw one, then had two returned for touchdowns. After throwing only four all year, Jeff Garcia throws one here.
3:00: Eli misses an easy check-down for a possible first down. Keep that one in your memory bank. Have to give Eli credit, though, for not forcing the ball deep and making a big mistake.
3:05: Jeff Garcia throws a dart over the middle on third-and-two to forgotten Rotoworld favorite Alex Smith. The 15-yard pass is the longest all game for Garcia.
3:08: After another punt, it looks like Tampa's defense is going to have to make a big play to keep the Bucs in this one. They aren't built to come from behind if they are dinking and dunking. Bring on Luke McCown!
3:11: Nothing really happened that quarter other than the Spurlock fumble. That's fine with the Giants. We need a miracle to make this interesting.

Comments
Although Eli is having an above average game for him, its ridiculous at the number of times he throws the ball at his receivers feet on plays where he is not even being pressured.

Hey good blog. I have a question (I'm smacking different blogs with different questions) what do you think was the best play from last night? are you happy or pissed with the Saints win?
