Thursday Night Preview

Mitchell Report fever is blinding everyone from the huge sports story of the day: Texans-Broncos on Thursday Night Football!
I'm oddly excited about this game, and not just because of the NFL Network spots. Let's go through the reasons ...
1. Selvin Young Time - It hasn't been an easy run for Selvin Young Nation. The faithful may have even given up after he left Week 13's start against Oakland with an arm injury. After all this time, though, Young owners can finally unleash him when it matters most.
Denver needs to win this game. Shanahan clearly favors Young to Travis Henry, despite any cloudy public statements. Houston has given up 4.5 yards-per-carry on the season and five touchdowns in the last three weeks. Young is a top-12 running back play. Travis Henry is not an option.
2. The Sage Rosenfels Experience! The coming out party of a long-time Rotoworld favorite, at least if anyone had NFL Network. I'm not gutsy enough to start Rosenfels on nearly any team, but his aggressive play combined with Denver's inconsistent secondary gives Andre Johnson, Kevin Walter, and Owen Daniels a great chance to play at or above their norms.
3. Darius Walker's first career start - Again, you need some stones to use Walker except as a flex play in deep leagues. But if Ryan Grant can become a star, maybe this forgotten Notre Dame star can as well.
4. Cutler-to-Brandon Marshall - I think this is the best young QB-WR combination in football.
I'd start Cutler this week over Ben Roethlisberger, Jon Kitna, Donovan McNabb, and Eli Manning. Based on the current windy outlook in Cleveland, I'd strongly consider playing him over Derek Anderson.
I'd play Marshall over Plaxico Burress, Torry Holt, Greg Jennings, and Wes Welker. The Houston secondary isn't the same since Dunta Robinson was hurt. Denver's other wideouts (Brandon Stokley and Javon Walker) are two banged up to use in fantasy leagues with confidence.

And if that doesn't get you excited, please have your day ruined by the most terribly addictive commercial in the New York Metro area.

What do you anticipate Andre Johnson doing in tonights game? How many yards and TD's?

Yards & TD's? Anyone want to polish off their crystal ball? LOL...
Gregg - If you like that commercial see if you can find the 'Mr. Sub' commercial series. I always see it when I'm visiting Toronto and it is hilarious. The theme of the campaign is their subs 'Make good people do bad things.'

Selvin still makes me nervous. Houston runs the same running scheme. Shouldn't they be prepared to stop Denver? And could Travis Henry swoop in at the goalline to steal TDs?
I want to be believe in Selvin, but I'm having a hard time starting him in a playoff game over Brandon Jacobs or Chester Taylor. Am I overthinking it?
