The Running Back Rises

After a season filled with aerial fireworks, fantasy football's penultimate weekend was decided by the traditional breadwinners: The running backs.
With nasty conditions all over the map messing with the passing game, teams focused on the run. Eleven running backs topped 15 fantasy points in standard leagues, led by Aaron Stecker. Meanwhile, only three wideouts topped the mark, and two of those were in no one's lineup - Roydell Williams and Greg Camarillo.
It has undeniably been a season powered by quarterbacks and wideouts, but the running backs got everyone home in the end. Just ask LaDainian Tomlinson and Steven Jackson owners if they regret their picks now.

I never expected Maroney in my flex spot to save my playoff game when I had Romo AND Brady as my starters in a 2 QB league. But Laurence finally came through. I have to admit my 1st round pick at RB(Gore)came up big as well.

Stecker sunk my ship. Westbrooks stop at the 1 did not help either to lose by 3 really hurts bad.

i hope this stops all that silly talk of taking QBs and WRs in the first round of next year's drafts.

Roydell was in one of my lineups, put him in at 12:59 as WR2 because he had the best matchup going. Sat Holmes, Cotchery and Roddy White...

Heh heh, I don't regret trading for Jackson but I'm not brave enough to play him against Pittsburgh week 16.

I am gearing up to play in my league's championship and Fargas has to go and get hurt. Should I go with Chester Taylor or Aaron Stecker in his place?

Gregg,
I have to think the Ladanian and Stephen Jackson owners are not even tuned in now because we are in somethimg called the playoffs. Their regret was probably more during the entire regular season. I'd say they are a lot more worried about whether to cut Troy Murphy or Yi right now.
Don't count me out, I mean don't count on me,
