Petrino does Falcons a favor

Once the shock of Bobby Petrino's midnight run to Arkansas wears off, Arthur Blank will realize that Petrino did him a favor. Blank was stuck with the worst coaching contract in the NFL: Five years and $24 million for a coach who was in over his head.
Petrino wasn't dealt a great hand when Michael Vick was suspended, but all reports from Atlanta indicate that his problems went far beyond one player. His offensive system showed some signs of life, but the personnel didn't fit. GM Rich McKay and Petrino didn't appear to be on the same page. Petrino reportedly ignored the defense.
Blank was embarrassed Monday night when he spoke glowingly of Petrino as the man to lead the Falcons out of the abyss. Just hours after Petrino told Blank that he wasn't leaving, Blank told a national television audience that his coach was a man who stood tall in the face of adversity. He oddly called Petrino the "CEO" of the team.
It wasn't the first time that one of Blank's key Falcon employees lied to his face, but this time will create far less damage. Now Blank can move on with a coach with a chance to win in the NFL. Something tells me he won't be scouring the college ranks for candidates.

Being a flagbearer for The Norwood Nation, I don't wanna jinx anything. But what are the chances Norwood starts getting more burn with Bobby "Brohm in 08" Petrino out of the picture?

So the Cardinals passing game has a nice match-up versus the Saints. Boldin looks like he will be out, and both Bryant Johnson and Jerheme Urban are available in my league.
Johnson had a bad game against the Seahawks, mostly because of Marcus Trufant. Urban had a great game.
I would prefer the one that will be lining up for the deep routes for this matchup. I want to stay away from whichever one of the two acts as a possession receiver. Who is the bigger deep threat?

John...you got your birds mixed up, brother. This is about the Falcons. Not the Cardinals and Seahawks.

Dang, Petrino made Saban look like a friggin' saint. But to be fair here, the NFL is dog-eat-dog all the way around, what with players contracts terminated at the first sign of a blown-out knee. So this dog bolted Atlanta with his tail between his legs when a safety net opened up in Arkansas. Don't look for class in the NFL kids, that went bye bye the day Jerry Jones pushed Tom Landry out the door with Jimmy Johnson's wide ass.

Greg,
Did you leave Jabar Gaffney off your rankings or did he not make the top 55?
