NFC Offensive Pro Bowlers
We did the AFC offense earlier in the day. Here come your NFC Pro Bowl picks.
QB: Tony Romo, Brett Favre, Matt Hasselbeck.
Honorable Mention: Drew Brees (first four games were too ugly)
RB: Brian Westbrook, Adrian Peterson, Earnest Graham
Honorable Mention: Marion Barber, Clinton Portis, Ryan Grant, Frank Gore
WR: Terrell Owens, Bobby Engram, Greg Jennings, Joey Galloway
Honorable Mention: Larry Fitzgerald, Marques Colston, Torry Holt, Roddy White
* This was an impossible choice. Fitzgerald has better raw numbers than some of his opponents, but his catch percentage isn’t great. If Joey Galloway had 50 more targets, imagine what his numbers would be. Fitzgerald dropped too many passes for my liking and is helped by the pass-happy Arizona attack. Engram’s inclusion is a tad sentimental, but he’s carried the Seahawks at times. His catch percentage is also the highest here. Jennings has made more difference-making plays than anyone but T.O.
My original list had Colston and Fitzgerald in, but Colston’s slow start gets him booted. The winning four also could look good on the field together, with a nice mix of deep threats, possession skills, and power. You can’t go wrong with any of these eight.
TE:Jason Witten, Chris Cooley
Tackles: Flozell Adams, Walter Jones, Chad Clifton
Guards: Steve Hutchinson, Chris Snee, Shawn Andrews
Centers: Andre Gurode, Matt Birk
* I may not get the defensive picks out before the real ones come out at 4PM because of other work, but plan to do them this week. Let me know where I'm wrong once again.

Looks good. My only quibble would be that Fitzgerald has to be in there at WR, especially over Galloway who only shows up every other game. T.O. is the only WR who played better than Fitz this season in the NFC.

You better fix this or we will not be friends anymore, Greg.

Hey Larry, you have 8.2 yards-per-target this year; I have 10.2. I would put up big numbers if all my team did was chuck the ball and hope for the best too. Or if my QB had a deep arm. And you way drop too many easy passes for a guy with a rep for great hands.
Let an old man go to the Pro Bowl for once. I was in the NFL when you were still a ballboy. You'll have plenty of chances.

Hey Joey,
I scored a TD or racked up at least 70 yards in all but one game this year. Consistency and reliability: two words not in Joey Galloway's vocabulary.
I have the best hands in the biz. Catch percentage is a very misleading stat when used in isolation. Watch me play.

Bobby Engram? Seriously?
Over Colston & Holt?
Wow.

You make the tough catches, but still drop the routine ones way too much. I've watched you plenty.

Hey Larry, this isn't the Pro Bowl of fantasy football. It's the pro bowl of real football. No one cares if you "caught either a TD or 70 yards" in every game but one.
