Crumpler
I've noticed that Alge Crumpler is available in a surprising amount of leagues. I think he could be picked up and played over a handful of usual TE1s this week, such as Ben Watson.
There are a few reasons for this. Crumpler is coming off his best game of the season (7-65-1), and three of those catches came in one quarter with Chris Redman. Another catch with Redman was overturned by penalty. The coaching staff in Atlanta believes that Redman's quick release frees up Crumpler to go out for passes rather than block.
Most importantly, Crumpler faces a sagging Saints secondary. Roman Harper and the Saints linebackers are poor in pass coverage. Harper is usually assigned to the tight end and the Saints have given up the fourth-most points to tight ends over the last five weeks. And they weren't exactly facing a murderer's row - Marcedes Lewis, Randy McMichael, Owen Daniels, Jeff King, and the Bucs.
I'm picking up Crumpler in one league and playing him over Ben Watson. For this week, I trust him more.

I've been contemplating growing some Alge on my roster as well, but will probably play it safe with Owen Daniels.
Todd Heap ain't playing anytime soon and in fact, I wouldn't expect him back this year.

I've been in need of an emergency TE2 for the playoffs and was scouring the FA's this week as well...
Crumpler may be a good play this week vs the Saints but his injury history worries me a bit.
Heap is definitely the best prospect, but can't string 2 consecutive practices together without re-injuring his hamstring. He is a huge risk if you actually need someone to play. I think there is a good chance he gets shut down for the season soon. Especially considering the Ravens are out of the playoffs now.

I would steer clear of him gregg. Pick up heap if he can come back next week you should be set as they have no real good recievers. He will be a beast and is hard to cover. Well anyways I am in the running for the 100,000.00. I am 39 points behind now. Rated 220 but my affiliate I am number 1. Do you get 100,000.00 for affiliate or overall? I could use some help on breaks or busts each week. I would love all that dough. Help me out with some busts and break through lists. TY The bird man LOL.
