The Henry Effect

Chris Henry wouldn't have received nearly the same hype if he actually played the first eight games of the season. But we are fascinated about the next big thing, and many owners were hoping he'd help them turn around their season.
So far, so good. Henry led the Bengals in receiving with 99 yards Sunday, making a 50-yard grab and a beautiful sideline catch. He had seven targets, the same as Chad Johnson, and one less than T.J. Houshmandzadeh.
I've long believed that Henry is the most talented receiver on the Bengals. I think he can be one of the ten best receivers in football, if he keeps his head on straight. So that probably won't happen.
Henry won't be one of the ten best fantasy wideouts while splitting the pot three ways, but he's going to help Carson Palmer's numbers while putting up WR3-type numbers. Housh and Ocho Cinco may see fewer targets overall moving forward, but they aren't going to fall off a cliff.

Hey Gregg,
So who is the next big thing? Do you see anyone who is typically on everyone's Waiver Wire (Norwood, Derrick Ward,Leon Washington, Kenton Keith, Ron Dayne, Tatum Bell etc.)having an impact either before or during the fantasy playoffs. Buy a crystal ball already, I want the Swami!

Hi Gregg,
One other thing. I am currently saddled with the hell of Steve McNair as my QB. Yesterday was the last straw - who would you rate higher for pickup purposes? -Campbell, Schaub, Garrard, Harrington, Young or Losman or maybe even Jamarcus Russell? I'm hanging onto first place by a thread so I'm desperate for your opinion...

Please note, I will send you my personally autographed picture of Megan Fox if you answer these questions. Seriously dude...

You're in first place with McNair as your starter?
How?
That sucks for you btw.

Creative trading has given me the killer receiver trio -- Owens, Wayne and Moss. But the McNair experiment has now approached Frankensteinian (word?) proportions. C'mon Gregg, I'm counting on you...

Gregg,
While you are on the Bengals, has your opinion about Palmer decreased somewhat? If you had to choose, would you take Favre or Big Ben over him? They has certainly scored better so far, and Palmer's looking at the Cardinals, Titans & Steelers...

Favre is having a great year as is Big Ben... so in my mind you could make an argument for either one.
Favre is a close call but for me, I go with Palmer. Especially with Chris Henry and Rudi Johnson back.
More important than the three opponents you listed is... who does he face in the fantasy PLAYOFFS?
Weeks 14-16 for most leagues: the Rams, 49ers and Browns. Doesn't get much better than that.
