The Funky Five
I'm going to wrap up my one-day obsession of looking at defensive matchups with my five worst defenses in the league. This is from a fantasy perspective - the teams you want to see your player going against. Some teams are good at one aspect of defense, but these five struggle across the board.
5. Rams - They have played well in flashes, and have some room to improve, but losing Leonard Little hurts.
4. Jets - An indictment of Eric Mangini. Equally bad against the run and pass.
3. Browns - Their secondary is one of the biggest disappointments of the year. They give up yards on the ground, but scores through the air.
2. Bengals - Injuries and the lack of a pass rush has made their young corners look bad.
1. Dolphins - And their defensive coordinator (Dom Capers) makes more than their head coach!

Great idea Gregg, I've got an Excel sheet going with a similar idea(color coding) for all team matchups. I don't have it broken down with pass/run distinctions though and would LOVE to see these defenses listed in worst to best(or vice-versa) order.
3 lists: Overall Defense, Defense vs. pass, and Defense vs. run....similar to the lists you've done on RBs and WRs.
I took a hit for holding on to L.Jordan so I believe you owe me one here(kidding).
I'm too challenged to figure out F.O. and prefer it all handed to me on a plate.

Nevermind Gregg, F.O.'s list isn't as hard to figure out as I thought. I just checked it. If you were to put out these lists and include commentary, I would read it though.
Any thoughts on Kicker matchups?...seriously, I'm not kidding. I've had a hard time figuring out what factors to look for in picking a kicker. Kaeding has been a dog for me this year because he's all Pats, no FGs. Let's go deeper into this subject that nobody seems to want to touch. I keep seeing games won in my league because of the kicker.
How will the cold weather play in...if at all. Why does Morton Anderson NEVER make the top 25? It seems to me that a team with a decent offense, that has a question mark in the run or pass game would have a better kicking matchup than a potent offense.

It's amazing that the Detroit Lions are a top 10 defense right now. Who knows how much longer that will last but they normally would make the Funky Five.
