Take Ward over Droughns
Its sounds like Brandon Jacobs could could miss more than one game, and that's why I'd pick up Derrick Ward over Reuben Droughns as a waiver pickup this week. Ward has shown he can be a quality fantasy option.
The Newark Star-Ledger is on their own saying Ward will play this week. He wouldn't be an attractive RB2 pick against the Vikings, but he'll become a solid option after that if Jacobs stays out.
Droughns is useful in small doses, but he has a 2.0 yards-per-carry average as Jacobs' backup the last four weeks. I see the Giants go very pass-heavy this Sunday regardless.
Thinking long-term, here's how I'd rank the pickups Mr. Patrick Dahl wrote about in Waiver Wired today...
1. Ron Dayne
2. Derrick Ward
3. Anthony Thomas
4. Andre Hall
5. Reuben Droughns
6. Ricky Williams
7. Brandon Jackson

Gregg,
Just a suggestion: you guys should archive your chats immediately after they are done. They are very useful to read for those that can't attend, but often they aren't archived (and thus not accessible) for days, after the info is too late or is dated. For all the time and effort you guys spend on it, to not make it accessible quicly is kind of a waste.

Where would you put Kolby Smith on this list based on latest LJ and Priest news?

Gregg,
I have to drop a player to fit DJ Hackett onto my roster.
Would you suggest Rudi Johnson, Ladell Betts, or Bobby Engram.

Gregg,
Mr. Dahl didn't mention Nate Washington in his waiver wired piece although it looks like Holmes might be out this week. Is he worth a flier this week against a very weak Miami defense? I have Crayton as my WR3 currently and he may or may not play. Thanks.

Washington isnt a terrible flier. Spanky - I'd drop Betts.
You are right on the chats Brian and Jason. We're working on making that easier.
