Somewhat Early Fantasy MVP Watch

1. Tom Brady: 33 TDs, four INTs, two rushing scores
2. Randy Moss: 924 yards, 12 TD
3. Brian Westbrook: 1,129 total yards, 9 TD, 54 catches, one missed game
4. Adrian Peterson: 1,301 total yards, 9 TD
5. Joseph Addai: 980 total yards, 9 TD, one missed game
7. Tony Romo: 2,555 yards, 23 TD, 9 INT, two rushing scores
8. LaDainian Tomlinson: 1,002 total yards, 9 TDs, RB3
9. Braylon Edwards: 752 yards, 10 TD
10. T.J. Houshmandzadeh: 719 yards, 10 TD, 68 catches
11. Derek Anderson: 2,231 yards, 20 TD, 9 INT, two rushing scores
12. Ronnie Brown: still sixth in RB scoring, and opened up roster spot last three weeks.
Note: Some extra points are awarded for good draft value, but not much. Following Adrian Peterson's injury, Westbrook, LT2, and Addai are the big three at running back that are healthy. ... Romo has opened up some room between himself and the third quarterback. ... T.O. and Reggie Wayne have nearly the same points as the receivers just ahead of them, but got docked because they were taken earlier. ... In standard leagues, Jason Witten, Tony Gonzalez, and Kellen Winslow have closed the gap with Antonio Gates.

i give it to randy moss, tom brady is benefitting big time because of randy moss being on the field ,which is opening up passing lanes for welker/stallworth/watson
i sure hope that new england is smart enough to resign randy moss to a bigger deal next ,rather then letting him go

Anderson has to be downgraded substantially - how many people even had him on their roster during week 2, when he threw 5 touchdowns, much less in their starting lineups? Gregg had him ranked 29th that week, and I'm sure he wasn't alone. So that week basically had no fantasy value. Essentially he's thrown 14 TD's and run for 2 in 7 games, which is very good but not in any MVP discussion.

Anderson has certainly saved my team this year. I drafted Bulger and lost at least 3 games specifically because of him. I was able to pick up Anderson, dump Bulger, and save my season.
Also, even without Anderson's first 2 weeks points, he's scored 157 points in my league since then....only Brady, Romo, Farve, and Roethlisberger threw for more since week 2.
I picked up Anderson before week 6, after he was dropped in my league, so I've gotten great production from him and he is my team's MVP. Only Brady, Roeth, and Brees have outscored Anderson over the last 4 games.

How the HELL can you over look Bret?

anderson may be downgraded slightly because of his lack of fantasy value early on...
but he's upgraded drastically b/c of the value he represents. he wasn't even drafted in most leagues (including my 12 team league, where i picked him up after week 2).

Yeah I agree with Matt. Sure, you missed Anderson early. But he also saved most owners' QB position as a waiver pickup. As a Favre owner, he's close, but just missed.

Eh, in one league I have Brady, AP and Housh. I'm in the top 2 in the league in points scored and floundering in 8th place. I have about 200 more points than most people above me, my vote for mvp goes to a lucky schedule.
