Rankings Update

In New Orleans for a wedding, but there is no vacation for the weekly rankings update. Here are some of the highlights of what we moved.

Santana Moss is on the board. I could see using him as a WR3, but he's not a great one. Travis Henry moved down, Selvin Young is up. Henry's status is a mystery. There are differing reports on his availability, but Young might outscore him either way. Shaun Alexander off the rankings, while Maurice Morris moves up. Ahman Green is off the board, possibly for the season. Ron Dayne moved up, and our man Echemandu is back at the bottom of the rankings. Todd Heap is off, Quinn Sypniewski is up, and Byron Leftwich and Joey Harrington are right next to each other in a rare case of a game-time decision at quarterback.

Fantasy Fix Live is at 11E tomorrow, as usual. I'll be calling in - see you then.

If you can advertise during the Super Bowl I think it's reasonable to assume these researchers/authors are getting paid a pretty penny. I get a little irritated by blanketed statements substantiated with little to no research.

Willie Parker will be ranked high this week - probably as a RB1. Should he be? No way!

I think your point has merit Patrick. I agree that quite often some fantasy gurus get lazy in their work (bogged down in the dog days of the season) just like the rest of us at times in our own professions.

How you went about conveying your criticism is where I take exception. Sarcasticly calling him an 'expert' to highlight your point?C'mon... I don't think you've ever heard Gregg or anyone else at Rotoworld refer to themselves as an 'expert'.

Again, there's a pretty simple solution for you if you believe the work here is substandard... DO NOT READ IT. I'm pretty sure you're not paying for it and their are tons of other fantasy sports sites.

I will say this... of all the fantasy writers I have read, not one has come close from what I can tell in terms of research and credibility as Gregg. And that includes the boys over at ESPN who try to make every segment a self promotional joke fest (especially Matthew Berry).

And lastly... bringing up how much money they may or may not make is completely irrelevant. Does anyone ask you how much you make after you turn in your work???

I bet an internet writer makes a hell of a lot less than you think. Whatever Gregg makes, I hope it is every cent he can get.
