Don't anger Ron Dayne
So much for Joe Echemandu. Ahman Green predictably got hurt Sunday, but it was Ron Dayne who picked up the slack. I've had a soft spot for all things Dayne for a few years now, but even I had given up in a few leagues after Dayne entered Week 9 with a 2.86 yards-per-carry average.
Nothing that the Raiders couldn't solve. Dayne even ripped off a 39-yard run! If you are wondering how big a hole that must have been, well it was pretty huge.
"That's Ronnie," coach Gary Kubiak said. "Just when you think maybe not, Ronnie steps up and says, 'Get on my back. I can still do this.' He's done it twice here for us. He did it last year, he did it today. He's a warrior. He knew we needed him, and he stepped up big."
So that's Ronnie. He's huge every time he plays in Oakland. I'm not sure if he's a great reserve fantasy option, but it's hard to argue that Echemandu is worth more. Don't doubt Ronnie.
Of course all these exciting heroics all led to one important event Sunday: The Sage Rosenfels Experience won for the first time as a starter!

Fargas has been named the new starter. Herm has said Priest will share carries. Dayne will also continue to share. I would go with Fargas.

clarification to the clarification = in both instances above Jeff means Houston, not Oakland...

Considering Oakland's week 10 bye. Justin Fargas is the better pickup this week.
If you pick up Ron.. Then you will have to hope Ahman Green's injury takes him out or limits him in that game, which it may not.
