Alex Smith, 49ers in rift?
I'm not sure why I'm so fascinated by the 49ers (obviously not affecting fantasy leagues too much), but I couldn't resist a couple updates after calling them the worst passing offense in NFL history yesterday.
Smith and coach Mike Nolan clearly are having some issues . To me, the weird part of Smith's interview to me wasn't basically calling out his coach. That happens during times like these. It was talking about the season in the past tense. He sounds like he wants to shut it down. Or wants someone to tell him to shut it down. Unhappy days in Frisco.
That's not the only battle related to Smith. San Jose Mercury News columnist gets into it with Ron Jaworski over some analysis from Monday night's game. They eventually kiss and make up - interesting stuff.
And with that, I'm out for the night. I spent way too much time on Pancake Blocks today instead of the Goal Line Stand that will go up early tomorrow morning. It's up early because I'll be heading down to New Orleans for the weekend, so posting may be somewhat light here.
All the Fix shows, including the live one on Sunday, are going as planned. I'll call in Sunday.
